Paperwork! It's what me and my husband are doing for a good part of our days and evenings - taxes, the house in Quebec to manage, the new house in California, legal documents - you name it. Everything is going pretty fast: we receive emails, print, read, re-read, sign, scan and buy a new scanner because ours decided to die now (of course), send back, call on the phone, go to the Bank, cross the Border and then we do it again. While this is going on I have assignments to deliver and the kids are still very much alive and always ready to play, isn't it!

Inspiration these days is coming from very diverse sources. My mind is a little spread out, I admit. Going through all the hassle of preparing our big move is a good way to find out if I have the nerve, the focus, and the organizational skills. Among other skills, mind you.
All throughout this, I've been given new industrial design assignments. Two of them relate to nature. Pretty, pretty cool I tell you! As I just read this on a friend Facebook's page:

This picture brings back good memories... it was taken during a wonderful trip - without kids, yes dear. We met friends from Quebec, now living in California, in Rome. We were there off season and it was affordable to rent a stunningly designed, gorgeous villa in Sorrento. Sorrento is a very nice little town overlooking the gulf of Naples, close to Pompeii and not very far away from Naples on the Amalfi Coast. This is just one of the gorgeous views that we had the chance to admire throughout our daily hiking. The land you see is part of Capri Island. Ah Capri! Yes, we did tour the island as well...

So, we are leaving California today and heading back home to Toronto. Soon "home" will be here, though...yup!
My husband got a new job close to Sacramento. We were all here this last weekend to visit friends in the area (makes for a better strategic "sale" to my oldest son) and to visit houses. It was a pretty interesting trip!
My husband starts work in two weeks. The kids and I will move when we have a definite place to stay. That could mean weeks or months before we can all be together again. *sigh*
When the real physical move happens, there will be a down period, but, so far, I will continue...
